Timothy Ray Brake, Sr., age 38, of Warrensburg, died Friday, May 26, 2006, at University Hospital in Columbia. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on March 28, 1968, a son of James Lee, Sr. and Barbara Elaine (Elevier) Brake. Both parents survive in Eldon. On August 28, 2005, in Higginsville, he was married to Connie Jo Crabtree, who survives at the home.
Timothy was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Higginsville.
Others who survive him include: two sons, Timothy R., Jr. and Anthony J. Brake both of Warrensburg; three step-sons, Michael Troy and Stephen William Cotton both of Eldon and Joseph D. McCormick of Montgomery City; Melissa Rae Perkins and husband Ronnie of Eldon, (the mother of Timothy, Anthony, Michael and Stephen); three brothers, Bryan Anthony Brake and wife Christine of Eldon, James Lee Brake, Jr. and wife Jo of Syracuse and John William Brake of Evansville, Indiana; one sister, Michelle Brake and fiancé Roger Hendricks of Eldon; grandparents, Russell and Onetha Brake of Higginsville and Alta Scott of Eldon and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In 1968 his twin brother, Todd Jay Brake, preceded him in death. His grandfather, Gearld H. Elevier, Sr., grandmother, Dorothy Ruiz and mother-in-law, Evenlyn M. Crabtree also preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Pastors Charlie Kemp and Jeremy Herbert will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date in Chapel Hill Cemetery near Kansas City, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
