Tommy Darrell Farrow, of Iberia, was born on October 13, 1947, at Iberia, a son of Walter Wayne and Olive Rosena (Lawson), and departed this life on Thursday evening, May 10, 2007, in the St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis. Mr. Farrow had attained the age of 59 years, 6 months, and 27 days.
Mr. Farrow was united in marriage on September 11, 1971, in the Humphrey's Creek Christian Church, Tuscumbia, to Dora Elaine Barton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ronald Farrow, Melvin Farrow and David Farrow.
Mr. Farrow was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Humphrey's Creek Christian Church, Tuscumbia. He had worked as an electronic technician for Explorer Pipeline Company for 34 years.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Farrow include: his wife, Elaine Farrow, of the home near Iberia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian Keith and Natosha Farrow, Brumley; Tommy James and Dana Farrow, Iberia; three brothers, Harold Farrow, Iberia; Roger Farrow, Brumley; and Bill Farrow, Vienna; one sister, Janet Selby, Rocky Mount; five grandchildren, Kayla, Jason, Kassidy, Jordan and Bradly; numerous nephews and nieces; and many other loved ones and dear friends.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, precious memories of Mr. Farrow will forever remain in the hearts of his dear family and all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Farrow at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 14, 2007, in the Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, Vienna, with Pastor Russell Cobb, Hallsville; Lex Smith and John Sears officiating. "When I Get To Where I'm Going", "Go Rest High On That Mountain" and "Precious Memories" were sung for the funeral service.
Interment with full military honors were in the Capps Cemetery, Tuscumbia, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home. Pallbearers for Mr. Farrow were Layton Wilson, Rick Thompson, Tom Graves, Ed Drebes, Randy Vineyard and Jake Hallahan. Honorary pallbearers were Jordan Farrow, Jason Walker, Jim Farrow, John Farrow, and Rick Farrow.
