Verna May Davis, age 80, of Brumley, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at her home. She was born in Miller County on May 21, 1930, daughter of the late Fred and Mabel (Grosvenor) Luttrell.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Rodden and Thresa Plemmons both of Brumley; two sons, Rick Davis and James Davis both of Brumley; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tob Luttrell and Ted Luttrell both of Brumley; and one sister, Bonnie Rodden of Brumley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Davis in 1992; three children, Eula Mae Rodden, Dorothy Jean Robinett, and Jerry Davis; and one sister, Mary Malmberg.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Ralph Byrd will officiate. Interment will be in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Verna Davis Memorial Fund.
