Veronica C. Holtmeyer, age 86, of St. Anthony, went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Miller County, on April 27, 1938, daughter of the late Adolf and Elizabeth (Bax) Hagenhoff. On June 12, 1971, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth, Veronica was united in marriage to Harold Holtmeyer, who survives at their home.
In addition to being a loving homemaker and caretaker, Veronica was also employed at Langenberg Hat Factory, St. Elizabeth R-IV in the custodial department, and the St. Elizabeth Nursing Home.
She had a passion for crafting, loved to crochet, and was renowned for her sewing talent, making countless keepsakes throughout her life for family and friends. She had a kind heart and a deep-rooted faith in God. Veronica was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
In addition to her loving husband, Harold Holtmeyer, those left to treasure her memory are her son, Jeffrey (Dot) Holtmeyer, daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Baumhoer; grandchildren, Grant Holtmeyer, Riley Holtmeyer, Jonathon (TomyLyn) Baumhoer, Elizabeth Baumhoer, Chloe Baumhoer, and Claire Baumhoer; brother-in-law, Larry Horstdaniel; sister-in-law, Carol Hagenhoff; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew, Roman, and Herman Hagenhoff and two sisters, Barb Horstdaniel and Mary Ann Siebeneck.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., on Monday, February 3, at St. Anthony Parish Hall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony with Fr. Christopher Aubuchon officiating. Interment will be held in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
