Virginia Juanita Davis, age 81, of Brumley, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Brumley on March 9, 1925, a daughter of Roy F. and Veda Opal (Thomas) Plemmons. On March 13, 1946, in Harrison, Arkansas, she was married to Joe W. Davis, who survives.
With her husband, she owned and operated Davis Shell Station and Farm Implement in Brumley for almost 50 years. She was a member of Brumley Baptist Church.
Other survivors include one daughter, Joetta Kay Cornett and husband Bob of DeSoto; three sisters, Geraldine Wills and husband Bob of Springfield, Lucille Rosen of Brumley, and Marilyn Humphrey and husband Ron of Iberia; three grandchildren, Janae Smith of Kansas City and William Cornett and Robert Cornett both of DeSoto; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Mark Kessler will officiate. Interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
