Walter "Wally" Janssen, age 95, of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at his home. He was born in St. Louis on June 22, 1918, son of the late John and Sarah (Truman) Janssen.

Wally served in the United States Army during WWII. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. Wally was a caring man who loved life and enjoyed visiting and helping others.

He is survived by one brother, Irvin Janssen of Osage Beach; longtime friend, Ron Meyer of Iberia; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Lee Todd will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in Lake Memorial Gardens in Osage Beach.
