Walter C. Seibert, age 94, of Barnett, died Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Osage Beach Health Care Center. He was born in Henley on January 13, 1913, a son of the late Charles and Christine (Christian) Seibert. On January 18, 1980, in Tuscumbia, he was married to Milagros Tagalog, who survives at the home.
Walter served his country in World War II as an Army US Ranger. He was a life member of the VFW Post 869 in Kansas City, Kansas and was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eldon.
Others who survive him include: one sister-in-law, Aurora Tagalog of the Philippines; two sons and one daughter all of Eldon; one grandson, Chris Seibert and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eldon. Rev. Frederick Elskamp will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in Eugene City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
