Wayne Harrison, age 80, of Iberia, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. He was born in Miller County on June 11, 1935, son of the late Ernest and Iola (Gumm) Harrison. On September 12, 1953, in Miller County Wayne married Barbara Inez Moneymaker, who survives at the home.
Wayne was a member of Pleasant Hill Church near Iberia. He dedicated his entire life to hard work and serving others. His true passion in life was his loving wife, Barbara, and his family, which he served faithfully until the day God called him home. During Wayne's life he touched many people with his kindness and love. For those he leaves behind, their lives will never be the same without him.
He is also survived by one daughter, Lisa Hake and husband Donald "Bubba" of St. Elizabeth; two sons, David Harrison of Iberia and Mike Harrison and wife Judy of Fairland, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, family and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Duncan and two sons, Randy and Jim Harrison.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with service immediately following at 1 p.m., on Monday, February 29, 2016, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Lloyd Wood will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
