Wilferd Owen (Pen) Pendleton, age 79, of Camdenton, formerly of Iberia, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009, at his home. He was born in Grubville on March 23, 1930, son of the late Dillard Thomas and Gladys (Wideman) Pendleton. On February 24, 1973, in Caribou, Maine, Wilferd married Laura Dorothy Judkins, who survives at the home.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed auctions. Wilferd retired from the United States Air Force as a master sergeant.
He is also survived by his children, Teresa Powers and husband John of Little Rock, Arkansas, Lori D. Pendleton of Little Rock, Arkansas, Robert Henthorn of Richland, Loretta Loethen and husband Danny of St. Elizabeth, Vickie Adams of Fulton, James Henthorn and wife Eva of Washborn, Maine, and Peggy Henthorn of Camdenton; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a faithful furry companion, Blondie.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Hicks and his daughter, Kim Henthorn Eames.
A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Union Cemetery in Iberia. Rev. Charlie Shurt will officiate.
