William "Bill" Brumley, age 83, of Stoutland, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, at Christian Health Care in Lebanon. He was born in Iberia on February 1, 1927, son of the late Harrison and Bessie (Davenport) Brumley. On August 16, 1948, in Iberia, he married Ruby Witt, who preceded him in death on September 1, 1989.
Bill was a member of Mt. Union Church of Christ.
He is survived by two daughters, Annie Mabee and husband Randy of Iberia and Betty Thacker of Lebanon; two sons, James Brumley and David Brumley and wife Toni both of Lebanon; Larry Brumley and wife Rachel of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Hazel Mosier of Arkansas, Mary Scott of Sedalia, Laura Strutton of Independence; Jessie Luttrell of Brumley, and Sue Witt of Montreal.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Brumley and Billy Brumley; one granddaughter, Amanda Brumley; one brother, Bob Brumley; and two sisters Gyspy Reinhart and Mable Durbin.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Lanny Witt will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
