William D. Hopkins, 74, of Brumley, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010, at his home. He was born in Clarksburg, Illinois, on September 15, 1935, son of the late Selby and Fannie Hopkins. On April 23, 1960, in Shelbyville, Illinois, William married Thelma Jean Hutton, who preceded him in death on June 13, 2006.
He is survived by two sons, James Hopkins of Dixon and Marvin Hopkins of Tebbetts; two daughters, Pam Ponder and Brenda Richter both of Dixon; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two sisters.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Richard Hopkins and one brother, Kenny Hopkins.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Neoga Cemetery in Neoga, Illinois.
