Obituary

William "Bill" Koebel, age 84, of Eldon, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Chesterfield on August 25, 1921, a son of the late Edwin and Emma (Hammon) Koebel. On November 1, 1941, in Mary's Home, he was married to Bonnie Bernadine Buster, who preceded him in death on July 7, 2004.

He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was also a highway mechanic and a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church.

Those who survive him include: His son, William G. Koebel of Olean; one sister, Barbara Crowell of Rolla; two brothers, George Nott of Pennsylvania and Ronald Nott of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Christal Ferrell and Darrel Koebel and eleven great grandchildren.

One son, Michael Duane Koebel and two sisters, Ruby Husky and Dorothy Gillian also preceded him in death.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Bro. John Shifflet will officiate. Interment will be in Dooley Cemetery near Eldon.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, at Rekus Funeral Home.
