Obituary

William "Bill" Lloyd Lane, age 80, of Crocker, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019, at Phelps County Hospital in Rolla. He was born on March 16, 1938, son of the late Clyde and Wennie (Spencer) Lane. On April 12, 1957, Bill married Virgie Belk, who survives at their home.

He worked for 35 years at Brown Shoe Factory in Dixon. After retiring from the shoe factory in 1991, Bill filled his time with yard sales and working on cars, tinkering with lawn mowers and small engines. He enjoyed gardening and attended Sweet Home Church.

In addition to his wife, Virgie Lane, he is also survived by two sons, William Roger Lane and wife Alice of Iberia and Lloyd Randall Lane and wife Dana of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Mandi Lane of Eldon, Jason Williams of Richland, and Amee Dumas of Laquey; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Tuesday, January 29, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Brian Duncan officiating. A private interment will be held in Antiock Cemetery near Crocker.
