William Lynn Luttrell, age 82, of Brumley, departed this life on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. He was born in Miller County on October 26, 1928, son of the late Hamen and Zilphia (Reinhart) Luttrell. On April 25, 1953, in Tuscumbia, William was united in marriage to Jessie F. Brumley, who survives at the home.

William served his country in the United States Army. He worked on construction crews building Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach and later built homes in Tan-Tar-A Estates. William was a member of Mt. Union Church of Christ.

He is also survived by five children, Kay Phillips and Ernie Mashburn of Iberia, Beverly Ash and husband Jack of Ulman, Pam Whittle of Brumley, Benny Luttrell and wife Jackie of Iberia, and Bobby Luttrell and Judy Jennings of Brumley; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donnie Luttrell, Terry Luttrell, and Mike Luttrell; and three sisters, Sharon Quern, Sally Durham, and Betty Johnston.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, Ronnie Luttrell, Jackie Luttrell, Okie Luttrell, Clint Luttrell, Dean Luttrell, and Ovid Luttrell; and one sister, Bonnie Bowden.

Visitation will be from 12 (noon) to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m., on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Lanny Witt will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Iberia.
