William "Bill" McComb, age 63, of Iberia, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at Lake Regional Hospital. He was born in Miller County on March 10, 1945, son of Bert and Myrtle (Luttrell) McComb. On May 7, 1973, in Iberia, he was married to Rhonda Jean Moore, who survives at the home.
He was an Army veteran and a member of Honey Springs Baptist Church near Brumley.
Other survivors include two daughters, Tonia Wood and husband Jason of Iberia, and LaDonna Robinett and husband Quincy of Brumley; one son, Marvin McComb of Jefferson City; three brothers, Leonard McComb, Harold McComb, and Chester McComb all of Brumley; five sisters, Helen Cobarrubias of Sedalia, Thelma Ash of Eldon, Gertie Henderson of Ulman, Glotha Durham of Brumley, and Beverly Guehrer of Vandalia; and six grandchildren, Chelsea, Aimee, Kyle, Tiffany, Quentin, and Cameron.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles McComb; and two sisters, Dorthy Durham and Margie McDowell.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rex Freeman officiating. Interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley.
