William Edward Meinhold, age 86, of St. Charles, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024.  He was born in Wyoming on July 12, 1937, son of the late Alfred and Ethel (Newton) Meinhold.  On September 12, 1959, William was united in marriage to Alice Clark, who survives at their home.

William honorably served in the Army Reserves during Vietnam.  He had a rewarding career as a math teacher for over 17 years.  In addition to teaching, William also sold insurance for Woodmen Life Insurance and was a carpenter for Taylor-Morley-Simon in St. Louis.  He had a passion for camping and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

In addition to his loving wife, Alice Meinhold, he is also survived by two sons, Paul (Julianna) Meinhold and Stephen (Jennifer Horan) Meinhold; five grandchildren, Susan Meinhold, Wesley (Morgan) Meinhold, Madeleine Meinhold, Katherine Meinhold, and Eleanor Meinhold; and numerous family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
