William "Willie" H. Stark, age 51, of Eldon, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Lake Regional Hospital. He was born in Bonner Springs, Kansas, on January 26, 1956, a son of Elvin Thomas and Barbara (Allen) Stark. He was married to Juanita L. (Moore) Stark, who survives in Sedalia.

Willie was of the Baptist faith. He previously worked at Pryor Novelties in Tuscumbia. He enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing.

Others who survive him include: one son, Kevin L. Witt and wife Jennifer of St. Louis; one daughter, Angela K. Steele and husband Travis of Sedalia; seven grandchildren; his mother, Barbara Stark of Eldon; six sisters, Eva Moore of Syracuse, Mattie Witt of Kansas City, Kansas, Judy Alberson of California, Beverly Chapman of Versailles, Peggy Witt of Syracuse and Mary Marple of Stover; four brothers, Jessie Stark of St. Joseph, Harry Stark of Greenwood, Mitchell Stark of Versailles and Tommy Stark of Tucson, Arizona; seven aunts; four uncles; 18 nieces and 13 nephews.

His father, Elvin Stark; three brothers, Richard, E.J. and Leland Stark and one nephew, Michael Copenhaver, also preceded him in death.

His body has been cremated under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, at Tuscumbia Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Frye will officiate.
