W. Austin Weeces, age 54, of Eldon, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at his home. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 22, 1953, a son of the late William Alex and Shirley A. (Carlson) Weeces. On July 14, 1973, in Eldon, he was married to Debbie S. Schmitz, who survives at the home.

Others who survive him include: two sons, Richard A. Weeces and wife Jami and Brian A. Weeces all of Eldon; four grandchildren, Austin W. Weeces of Jefferson City, Jordyn M. Weeces, Braeden L. George-Weeces and Keeghan L. George-Weeces all of Eldon; two brothers, James A. Weeces of Russellville and David E. Weeces of Olean; two sisters, Gloria A. Miller and Brenda L. Schneider both of Eldon and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Rev. Jay Quinn will officiate. Interment will be in Olean Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
